Good ideas are the bread and butter of entrepreneurship. There are a million factors that can make or break a business, but a good idea is always where the journey starts.
But how do you get to a good idea?
James Altucher advises everyone to write down 10 ideas a day, about anything. The exercise isn't about good ideas, necessarily, just ideas. When you get in the habit, coming up with new possibilities gets easier and easier.
When it's time to figure out which of those ideas will work, though, it is helpful to have a process. Passion and excitement should be your first step. Does the idea make you want to stay up late and work all hours and move heaven and earth to make it happen?
If so, it's time to go through our infographic and think through the viability of the idea. Passion matters, but it's possible to be passionate about something that will never succeed.
Does you idea hit all the milestones on the path? Awesome! Now it's time to get to work!
